Tip of the Iceburg You always say, bring you street-life, bring you real-life, that one man's desperate and mundane existance is another man's... techni-color. [[strange days]] |

2003-05-30 5:16 PM the week in briefs this week - like many others - has flown by. it's friday... but relaxing at rich's barbeque on monday feels like it was much less far away.
tuesday, i got roped into working on this guy's security paper. this was much less fun that i had hoped for. writing was fair, style was inconsistant, he kept changing stuff... and working with him is it's own test in patience. *sigh* and i didn't even get free dinner out of it. wed - went to a play over at the ACT theater on geary. well, first dinner and martinis at the daily grill. dinner was yummy, but the play... well. that was less fun. it was called 'the three sisters' adapted from Anton Chekov's version. i couldn't get into it. the pace was slow and forced. the characters *bothered* me. maybe i'll try to give it another chance. there were other factors also - i was sitting behind this woman, and unless i was sitting *just so* her head entirely blocked my view of the stage... anyway. i was just annoyed. yesterday - i made tasty foods! pinenut encrusted chilean steelhead topped with mangos and a sweet corn salsa. the steelhead was nice and tender and the salsa was just damned tasty, sweet, spicy, and tangy all at the same time. b and i shared a nice bottle of italian wine and some quiet time at home. it was lovely. today - i've been thinking about things to write in my journal. there's a million things that i want to say... i just can't make them solidify into actual words. i feel like i'm trying to put smoke in my pocket.
