Speaking of occasions, I have occasion to name my computer, and I have heard that the tradition is to name them after stars. I was calling mine Speedy, because it is, but now I am leaning towards Altair, which means the flying one, same reason, but I wonder if that's kind of common. I like the name, but I also like to be different.
Some of the other names I like are Caelum, which means "the graving tool," and my computer is my graving tool except I don't do my work on rocks. Is there such a thing as "delete" for rocks? And I like Bellatrix and Aldebaran and Regulus and Capella and some others, too. Rukbat? Vega? Oh, and then there's Yildun, which really is the name of a star, and it means "star." I will figure it out.
