I took a trip to Seattle earlier this evening to join in some Happy Hour festivities at one of the local establishments. The evening began with me being seated by a bird and trying to figure out how I was going to open the menu, which as you can see, was quite a bit taller than myself.



Eventually I got myself moved to the big kids table, persevered with the menu and decided on a concoction known as "Tiki Islander Punch". And punch it did.... did you know that mermaids really do exist?



Amazing!! Having discovered the existence of mermaids I decided I'd better cut short my evening and return home so that I might ponder this a bit more. Plus that green drink was awfully strong- in fact I heard the waiter comment to someone in the group who was having a similar drink "you're drinking a 'Drunken Sailor'? Yeah you're gonna need more water". So I headed for my mode of transport (don't worry I had a designated driver, I'm well aware of the dangers of drinking and driving)

And ran smack into a screaming monkey who decided he liked me and wanted to hang out for a while....



And then along came the googly eyed silver alien....



Mermaids? Screaming Monkeys? Googly Eyed Silver Aliens? Wow. I think I'd better go back and have a talk with that bartender, see what he put in that drink of mine. If I'd had much more of that I probably would've ended up at Candy Mountain with Charlie the Unicorn.
