Good thing I have the 'Femmes to keep me company; I appear to have no editor available to me that will convert my footnotes to endnotes, convert them to a portable/convertible format, preserve either footnotes or endnotes in export to HTML, or any combination of the above. Hello, BBEdit! *knuckle-cracking*

So, apparently, there's going to be massive and wrist-crushing hand-coding of the text-only version of the thesis into HTML. Heck, in that case I might as well wonk it into ThML or some wacky thing. Time to look at Herr Doktor Munday's texts projects to see what he's doing in the XML category, perhaps...
