We know some nice folks who're parents, and share a lot of their philosophy of parenting, though not all. Raising spawn isn't easy; for one thing, they learn their behavior from you, which turns out to be a real pain in the neck, even if it's hilarious to everybody else...

So, in the interests of full disclosure, I got from a certain Monastery this exemplar of parenthood, oddly enough, in a public service announcement format:
