Arberry); Brust, The Lord of Castle Black; } One of the things I like about the 'Net is that there's almost always some guy around who's obsessed with connecting the dots on things that seemed isolated or anomalous to me. The guy behind The Daily Howler is that guy for the press. In the latest bit in a series called "Absolutely Fatuous!", he sends another volley of revolutionary mustket-fire toward the press for pseudo-analysis of political "lies". Cutting stuff. (Series starts Sept. 2 and the rest is in the archives following.) Highly recommended is the HOWLER's examination of the "Perfect Storm" method at work, past and present. Scary stuff... Get a dose of HOWLER every day! It's for your sanity! |
