So, the whole RFID tag perma-tracker thing is rather disturbing, even though I'm a sucker for automation in my own environment (automated inventory of my hardware?! gimme!). Fortunately, there are clever people in the world, thinking rationally about these things, as demonstrated in this Pitt press release.
