Ankle-deep in leaves on a balmy evening walking to The Garage Of The Byzantines to vote in the ever-popular local/state elections, my split-ballot cheat-sheet in my pocket. A delightful evening, really.

And I mean that. A more genial atmosphere I cannot imagine. Not a Kalashnikov in sight... Sorry. Unless you think of hawaiian shirts as intimidating, a nice mellow setting to fight out the future of the world's greatest power.
