Mostly trying not to die? Distorted vision of a positive future? Possibly, but what can we do except attempt the minimum? Re-establishing minimal peace/jutice/stability is a negative goal... Consider: balance of primal and refined (not just superimposed, or counterpointed, but ... reconciled?); expressions of yin/yang or sometyhing, explorations of scale -- the missing core of aesthetic potential, lost until the reconcilitation of all things...
