For your Darkest-Night-Of-The-Year listening pleasure, I point you all at shiny things! Get Havalina's Russian Lullabies now! Yes, the whole album...

This is an album which came out in 1997, apparently, and went out of print quickly (distributor issues, maybe?); however, it's a fan favorite. One aspect I think fascinating: For the concept-y album, they all went and read up, studied books and articles about traditional Russian music -- but never listened to any! They just wrote the songs based on how the music was described to them... Whee!

To give you an idea how much I like it, I've been averaging two listens a day, every day, for the last month or so. It's that good. Get it! Enjoy it! Sing along!
