2005-03-25 2:17 PM talking with children "If you're going to flirt with anarchy, don't cry to me about it when she bitch-slaps you six ways from Sunday. Live and learn, little man. Now go eat your breakfast before the eggs get cold."
- reason number 239 why I'll never be voted Mom of the Year. So, I'm pretty well convinced the puppy is a special-needs pet. He's cute, sure, but he's not altogether 'there', if you know what I mean. Could be he's just stupid, but it makes me seem like a much nicer person to have taken in a handicapped dog instead of having chosen the dunce of the litter. The vet never said anything about it at the last check-up but I'm wondering if that's why she mentioned taking him to "Puppy Pre-School" to help with his "socialization". I thought she was kidding.. "Lady, I didn't even put that much effort into raising my kids and they're reasonably well-adjusted." (reason number 240 - I know, I know) Still. The jury's out on the canine IQ. I've taken to the "wait and see" approach because in all honesty, watching the dog try to find his way out from under a towel is just so damn amusing.
