2006-01-02 2:51 PM new year. yay. And it begins.
Leaving for Edmonton tonight for business reasons (ick) and will be gone for two or three weeks (ick ick). That's a very long time for me to be away from home and I'm feeling uneasy about it. Can't be helped, really, so... So. Drunk New Year's Eve. I can, and this amazes me, recall all the words to Rick Springfield's "Jesse's Girl" when completely hammered. I can't when I'm sober. I'm wondering now if alcohol has ever been considered as a treatment for Alzheimer's. Resolutions? Some. I owe a lot of people a lot of mail. I haven't forgotten and will get pen to paper when I get back from Edmonton. If it's no more than cuss words and rants about the in-laws, I ask your forgiveness now. If you're not on the "already owing" list and would like to receive hath scibble, email me your mailing address. I promise not to show up on your doorstep or send any ego-porn to you. I also promise not to amuse you with pet stories.. that's why I have a blog. Have to go start packing (ick). Wish me luck. Best of everything this year to all of you. Love and peace. You know, the good stuff. And I leave you with this image of me, obviously drunk and on the verge of breaking into a rousing chorus of some no doubt ribald Irish drinking song. Or of me just trying to stay on my own two feet and failing. You decide. soundtrack: Remix of "Jesse's Girl" 3.72MB. Read/Post Comments (7) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
