1. Pack 2. Do a load of laundry so the Throw(up) Rug doesn't sit around being all nasty all week. 3. Make sure all breakables are out of the cat's reach or locked in the bedroom. 4. Pack some more. 5. Back up my laptop. 6. Consider going to the doctor. 7. Write critiques of the rest of the stories, which at the rate I'm going means about 7000 words. Heh. 8. Snuggle the cats, most likely against their will because they don't understand I won't be around next week. 9. Decide which sweaters smell the least like moth balls and pack them. 10. Mourn my good, waterproof, warm, duck boots back in Indiana and pack my tennis shoes instead. 11. Worry about snow in my sneakers. 12. Look for that other glove. 13. Find the lining for my London Fog raincoat, the one that turns it into a decent winter coat. 14. Be told by Tim that I worry too much. 15. Clean out the borrowed cooler so it doesn't make my tofu cheese smell funny. 16. Clean the bathroom so that when our friends come to pick us up they don't think we live like animals. 17. Wash the cats dishes. 18. Sweep (see 16). 19. Pack some more. Debate whether to bring the zip drive, since it's the only way to back up the writing I do on my laptop at the workshop. 20. Convince Tim we really do need to bring the Brita filter, since I don't know the water situation up there and am a notorious water snob. 21. Wash the Brita pitcher and the coffee grinder. 22. Write a big note so I don't forget the tofu cheese, soy milk and coffee beans in the morning. 23. Get the coffee maker ready to go. 24. Decide how to pack my ergonomic keyboard and mouse. 25. Be told I overpack. 26. Set out my toiletries so I don't forget them first thing the next morning. 27. Repack. 28. Eat. 29. Sleep. 30. Let the housemates know we're going to be gone and that that's our black Saturn in the driveway and please don't have it towed. 31. Snuggle my pook; shag if time permits. I know I'm forgetting something. See you all next week! Read/Post Comments (10) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
