This morning I was greeted by two emails in my inbox encouraging me to check out Jonathan Strahan's blog, specifically, this entry. Second paragraph, where he says he really liked my story, "Single White Farmhouse" in the upcoming anthology Polyphony 5.

This was a fabulous way to start the day! Any author is happy to read good reviews of their work, of course, but it's even better coming from someone you respect and even better when they're a respected individual in the field. For those of you not in the SF&F field (hi, Mom!), Jonathan Strahan is the reviews editor for Locus (the trade magazine for the field) and also edits several of the Year's Best anthologies that come out every year.

In other words, I'm honored and thrilled that he enjoyed my story.
