I went and told my writing group that I'd have a story sent to them in time to crit it at next month's meeting. Now, I have a story in mind, which I'm going to revise (for the third time) before sending it to them, but it's still good motivation (both to revise this one, which I'm stuck on and could use the feedback on, and to encourage me as write new stuff). I have a first line for a new story that popped into my head recently, but I have no idea where it's going. I suppose I should sit down and figure that out.

I have two new stories out this month, both of them by the fabulous Wheatland Press: "Single White Farmhouse" in Polyphony 5 and "Skatebirding" in Nine Muses. You can buy both or either of these anthologies at the link above, and I encourage you to do so. Wheatland Press does good work; I can't wait to read the other stories in those anthos!

Typing in my novel isn't going as well as I'd hoped, mostly because I'm having mysterious lower back pain (mysterious in that I don't remember pulling it) and can't really stand staying at my computer for long periods of time. Sigh. Stretching and a hot bath last night helped some, at least temporarily. I think I should find a good yoga class nearby and start going.
