Happy 29th birthday to Tim ! He's my joy and my light, my silly one and my love. Here's to many, many, many more.

We spent the weekend in Santa Cruz with Scott and Lynne. Tim said he wanted to "booze it up" and instead of just getting some rum and a couple of fortys, these two totally classed it up and took us wine tasting. We got seriously tipsy while feeling all sophisticated and buying bottles of our favorites. We had sushi and coffee and an exquisite Sunday brunch.

I had just a fabulous, wonderful, glorious time. I'd been in a bad mood last week, and that just melted away in the warm glow of their hospitality and friendship. I really needed to get away from our house, to lie in the sun and play squeaky-mouse with someone else's cat, to play game after game of oh hell with another couple and to laugh with those three so hard my eyes water. Tim had a fabulous birthday weekend, which is wonderful, and so did I (have a fabulous Tim's birthday weekend, that is).
