Although I am having some cramps or contractions, they're nowhere near regular enough to even say I'm actually going into labor. Meh. I really really wanted a Halloween baby, but if I don't go into actual labor really soon here, I'm probably not going to make it. Sigh. I guess Dia de los Muertos is a good second choice, if I can't make it today, but it could be a week or even more from now; there's just no telling. (The doulas I know tell me first babies are approximately 5 - 7 days "late" on average.)

This last week has been more what I used to think all of pregnancy would be like. I am way too fuckin' delicate! Seriously, my blood pressure has been an issue for a week now and I'm getting tired of not being able to do *anything* without risking it shooting up. I tried to clean up in the bedroom, but I can't lean over for long and sitting on the floor lasts about 5 minutes before I get really uncomfy. And if I stand for too long, my feet tingle and throb and hurt.

Meh.

I was in the hospital for about 4 hours each of the past two days due to high blood pressure, being monitored. So. Boring. I'm hoping at this point that the next time we go, it's for reals.

This afternoon, I have an accupressure induction appointment. I'm also going to schedule some accupuncture induction appointments as well. I'm told these aren't immediate solutions -- they could take a few days/ sessions to kick in -- but my OB/GYN suggested them, so maybe they'll help. If I don't have the baby by a week from this afternoon, they medically induce me (which can also take a couple days to kick in), and I'm trying to avoid that if possible.

Really ready to meet the baby now!
