1.Where were you 1 hour ago?
Sitting at my desk – same as now, same as for the next 5 ½ hours. Whoopee.

2. Who will be your next kiss?
Probably The Baby when I pick her up from the sitter’s after work. After that, I hope it will be my husband. And a whole lot of that.

3. Is there anything pink within 10 feet of you?
The floaty hearts in a paper weight/pen holder/shaky glitter snow globe thingie that my son gave to me for Christmas a couple of years ago. It has a big heart in the middle that says “Mom”. How do you not love that?

4. When is the last time you were at the mall?
Last night, actually. We don’t generally tend to hang out there but The Man wanted to go somewhere with a/c and I have a ring that’s needed to be taken in for repair for an embarrassingly long time so we used that as an excuse to walk around the mall. Also I think The Baby gets bored easily, which makes her irritable. She’s at home too often for her tastes so there’s nothing new to stimulate her, which pisses her off royally. Before we left for the mall she spent her evening repeatedly hitting me and screaming for no reason. As soon as we took her out she was having the time of her life. Toddlers are fun!

5. Are you wearing socks right now?
No, I have sandals on. I’m not a socks-and-sandals kind of gal yet. I’ll let you know when that happens so you can go ahead and put me out of my misery.

6. When was the last time you went out of the state?
Last month about this time – we went to visit friends in the Baltimore area.

7. Have you been to the movies in the last 5 days?
Ha! That is so funny! I’ve been once in the last year. We took the 2 big kids to see the last Harry Potter movie.

8. What was the last thing you had to drink?
My morning French Roast.

9. What are you wearing right now?
Why, Mr. Poll … I hardly know you …

10. Have you been in a car wash?
In my car. Not on foot in a naked, sudsy kind of way. I’m not sure which one this question was asking about. I do really enjoy going through the car wash though. I’m not sure why, but it’s one of my guilty pleasures. I feel bad spending money on something I can clearly do myself, but I just really, really like the car wash. It’s so cool. The brushes are coming right for you but then they don’t get you! How do they do that?

11. Last food you ate?
A peach. Our friend T surprised us by showing up last weekend for Handbasket Fest. He works on a farm in Indiana so he brought lots of fruit and vegetables. The corn he picked that morning didn’t even need to be cooked, it was that good. And the peaches are perfect. Today is the day if you want to come over. We have plenty.

13. Have you bought any clothing items in the last week?
Yes, which makes it strange that I should get this poll now because before that it’s been ages. But I finally broke down and went to get new bras because, without sharing too much, I’ll just say that hot weather + ill-fitting and pokey bras = misery. When I was at the store a bunch of summer things were on super clearance so I got a skirt and three shirts, one of which is almost too hoochie-mama for any self-respecting 33-year-old mother of three to wear, but we were having a party so I figured, what the heck?

14. Do you have any pets?
Three cats and a dog. One of the cats was supposed to be a foster cat but she kind of grew on us in her adorably psychotic way. Plus we couldn’t think of anyone we disliked enough to be able to in good conscience give them a psychotic cat.

15. What's the last sporting event you watched?
I am really not sure. I’ve watched a few Indians games this year. Does a demolition derby count as a sporting event? Because that was just last week.

16. What was your favorite class?
I took a class on fossils that I loved. For five minutes I got to feel like a real paleontologist.

18. What is the last thing you purchased online?
I ordered office supplies for work. For me personally, I really don’t remember.

19. How old are your parents?
55 and 56 I think.

20. Are you in love?
Yup.

21. Do you miss anyone?
Lots of people. Some days more than others, some people more than others.

22. Last play you saw?
The King & I – at least as much of it as I could see from the pit.

23. What are your plans for the day?
Work. Go home. Do laundry.

24. Ever go to camp?
I was just there Sunday-Monday. I went to Cub Scout camp as a chaperone and had a blast. When The Man came to pick me up I told him I didn’t wanna go home – I was having too much fun at camp. I got to shoot dog food at a can with a slingshot, go swimming (I passed the deep water test!), play water polo, sleep in a tent full of spiders, sing songs, eat camp food… it was awesome! I wish I could have been a Boy Scout.

25. Were you an honor roll student in school?
Nope. I should have been but I didn’t believe in applying myself at the time.

26. Are you wearing any perfume or cologne?
No. I’m lucky I remembered to put on deodorant this morning. So is everyone else.

27. Do you have a tan?
Yes. That was one other thing I got to work on at camp.

28. How old do you want to be when you have kids?
I wish I could come up with a smartass answer to this one. Feel free to write your own and post it in the comments.

29. Do you collect anything?
Dust.

30. Last time you got stopped by a cop or pulled over?
About a year and a half ago, I think. I was speeding because I was fuming at someone I won’t name (hint: this person often pisses me off – if you know me, you probably know who it is) and wasn’t paying attention.

31. Have you ever drank your soda from a straw?
Stupid question, poor grammar. Next?

32. Last time you took a shower?
Last night at about 9:45. Had to wash off the camp mud and the sweaty hugs I got from the kids when I left.

33. What is your mood?
Right now? Not the best. I am feeling introspective, but not in a good way. I think I need a smack on the back of my head to snap me out of it. Using this poll as a distraction isn’t working very well. Besides, it appears that it’s nearly over.

I think so.

35. What's the last TV show you watched?
Watched The Daily Show and part of The Colbert Report before bed last night.
