2007-03-01 4:01 PM Marching Right Along I am so sorry to drag you all here when I don’t even have a real post. I just needed to get away from February. It’s such a goofy-ass month – one which people rarely spell correctly. It’s also the runt month – paychecks are smaller and bills come faster. February kicked my ass. Buh-Bye sucker. I’ve marched on to March.
I don’t care that I’m under a tornado watch, that the jets at Tullahoma have nearly rattled my windows loose, that sheets of rain are slashing down to earth at this very moment, that the ad for my new business was so small I needed a magnifying glass to find it, or that they sent me 1,000 business cards (nearly the population of Monteagle) instead of 500. I DON”T care… because it’s no longer February… It’s March. [Oh, my ad was small because I missed a deadline – next week my services will scream off the page.] Surf's Up Oh, and yes, that’s another one of my paintings. Usually I frame all my work, but in the true Outsider fashion, I have left it unframed and painted the sides and glued on faux gems – it really is cool. This week I’ve worked on a frame that is more art than the canvas it will hold. I bought a bunch of raw, unfinished frames, which are intricately carved. I paint the frames a zillion different colors and glue gee-gaws all over them. The frames are really cool. I’ll post one soon. Anyway, I’m off to fluff m’self up and go to an art opening/reception down the street a ways. Yaaaaay! March! Read/Post Comments (9) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
