2008-05-04 9:15 PM For the Birds I'm feeling my arthritis this evening. I'm prepping my home for people who are renting it for graduation next weekend. I'm vacating Tuesday evening so am close to deadline. Ordinarily the preparation would be typical housework stuff with the addition of putting together a welcoming goodie basket with wine and juices and snacks and baked items, and yum-yums in general etc. (It's the least I can do - I get $375 a night.) The glitch in the routine is that there has been a pesky Robin making a major mess. Below is a pic of bird friendly deterrent - soaping the windows. I also draped sheets. Good God. My house looked like an Irish Wake. After a few days of mourning *sigh* the bird flew off to terrorize someone else. In the meantime, I've also ordered some scary rubbery snakes to coil around the porches. Most likely I'll be the only one frightened. *sigh*
Anyway, my arthritis is kicking up because I crawled around a lot today while scrubbing my porches. Just because of one measly bird! Everything looks beautiful now. Yay! Soaped windows Back to normal! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
