2008-09-09 10:27 AM OCD Party I’ve mixed the two topics of this entry in my title.
Last night was hysterical at Journalscape. Was anyone else kept awake by the loud partying? I final canceled the subscriptions to the two women in question and will re-up in a few minutes. I swear to you… here I was minding my own business, trying to put together this video and every few minutes the computer went *ding* to let me know a new blog from JS had arrived. DingDingDingDing. I nearly called the police the racket was so out of control. LOL. Hope you gals had a great time. I’m too old for your kind of wild parties, but you made me smile real big and happy. Anyway, moving on. Two weeks ago I wrote a Flash for Netta at WordWebbing (the link is above) and it became obvious that I have this mild OCD thingy regarding repetition. Actually, I have known this about myself for many years. So, I put together a video with examples of repetition in my home. You have seen some of these photos before, but not in this context. Hmm, and maybe my condition isn’t so mild after all. The repetition is a comfort to my eyes in a manner I can’t explain. I think it has something to do with rhythm and continuity and the safeness of dependability - Just some armchair reflections and possibilities. What secret quirks do you have? In the video below, the Cat Plates are so adorable and I was too lazy to retake the photo. Google Deborah Carmen for a fun collection of animnal art. Deborah & I were good friends in Laguna Beach. Also, the prayer flags are made by Kate Duncan. She can be reached at flederhaus.com Her flags are custom and very reasonably priced and very special. I discovered her at Cary's List of the Day where I have met a lot of nifty folk. The video takes about 10 seconds to load. Enjoy! xoxo Read/Post Comments (13) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
