2008-10-14 11:49 AM Benny & Me Bug is back home *sniffle* but I now have Benny to take care of at his own home which is a short distance from my home - on the other side of the lake. I see Benny once each day and he is the friendliest cat I've ever encountered. I can just about hear him purring as I pull up.
I've posted quite a few photos today. The whole mountain is beautiful, but Benny's home is over-the-top spectacular. His owners are a delightful young family with children my grandchildren's ages. The Mr. of the house is a building contractor. He creates beautiful homes with great care to detail. The Mr. & Mrs. are a wonderful, wonderful couple with busy, busy lives, yet I lunch with the Mrs. every so often and always enjoy the opportunity to take care of Benny. I enjoyed some observations Netta made at her site today. She validated the most important reason why jealousy no longer exists in my lexicon. I thoroughly enjoy other people's good fortunes, like the incredible beauty of Benny's home, but know that behind each glass window of perfection, there is a story... there is a story... there is a story… and I’m reminded to embrace my gratitude for my own little planet. :) Thanks, Netta for the reminder. You know how much I esteem your Wal-Mart story, which btw the link is to the left if someone still needs to read it and everyone does need to read it. :) I love my pet sitting business, Purrs & Wags. I don’t make a whole lot of money, but I love the perks: fabulous pets with endless unconditional love, and I select my own hours, clients, and wardrobe. Business ebbs and flows, especailly since I'm not aggressive with promotion. Tomorrow’s post will introduce you to Mischa, another cat I’m taking care of for two weeks. Buckle-up - today's post is an amazing tour. :) The lake I drive by to get to Benny’s home The lakeshore lined with canoes & sailboats & such Benny’s home. From this approach, one crosses a creek via a bridge And there’s Benny! He comes down the steps and stone walkway to greet me Feed me, feed me, feed me! My 365 Envisage Photo. Benny loved posing. A short tour of Benny’s property: There are endless decks and screened porches. I could have taken better photos of those. Yum-Yum The guest house Woodpile #1 Woodpile #2 – you can tell I’m fascinated with all the woodpiles on the mountain I love wagons Raised gardens with veggies & herbs. At this very moment I’m chomping on a salad with some of Benny’s tomatoes The office & garages Read/Post Comments (11) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
