A Short Tour

I have a silly amount of art. The following is a short tour - not necessarily of favorites, but ones I already have photos of. Each piece in my collection is valuable to me. Some were expensive and some were inexpensive and the best part is that the disparities in price aren't always obvious. They are all treasures.

I haven't any photos of paintings by Deborah Dewitt Marchant. She's a favorite of mine - exquisite oils that often feature books. I have three of her paintings and consider myself so very lucky because I think she's segued to photography over the years. I'll take photos and post them another time.

Enjoy!

Purportedly, this original was advertized in the 1950s in Homes & Gardens Magazines to sell prints. Outsider art, aka primitive art, aka lots of various genres had been around for a while but just starting to gain in popularity

I adore John David's portraits. They were some of my first in my collection. I have six of his portraits.

Mr. Bean's Barn by Kenton Nelson who hails from Southern CA and well established with a loyal following. This is a small watercolor - all I could afford at the time.

This artist, Manual, lives in South Beach Miami. I have quite a few of his paintings - all small and precious and edgy and often outrageous.

This is Copyright who is my official greeter. I dress her according to the seasons.

A fabulous propeller bowl by a San Francisco artist whose name I can't recall at the moment. Gah. The bowl is filled with Christmas ornaments from my childhood.

Last Drop by Ken Auster. I met Ken in Laguna Beach many years ago when we met at The Zinc - a cafe where a group of us met every morning for coffee and laughter. I'm so lucky to have ten of his paintings - all purchased with the *good friend* discount.

I have four of NitA's paintings and all are glorious and charming and precious.

A fabulous bronze by someone famous I can't remember at the moment. I try to tell people she's a circus performer. :)

Red Chevy by Ken Auster (this is always a crowd pleaser)

This fabulous torso is crafted from washers with a luxurious patina.

Another crowd pleaser - I'm too lazy at the moment to look up its provenance, but it's fabulous!

Red Summer by Don Casado - I have three works by Casado. I think they are beyond fabulous. Casado hails from the Canary Islands.
