2012-11-20 7:23 PM TS and Twinkies There was a time in my life when I ate it all - spongy, airy bread that came packaged in plastic that was decorated with colorful bubbles. I also greedily chomped on Yodels, and Ho-Hos, and Twinkies that we bought on the way to the prissy private school I attended during those years. But there was nothing esoteric about my family origins - we were obvious-common and I have no apologies for that. My Mama was schizophrenic - a total lunatic, but I loved her intensely. She loved me when she remembered to. I ate organic food most my life because of her - she had it delivered by truck from some place deep in Pennsylvania. Cost a bloody fortune. My stomach never knew quite what to expect. It's no wonder my Daddy divorced and dated the likes of Miss Ballentine. I bet she ate Twinkies. And that's all I have to say about that right now.
