2013-11-12 1:06 PM A Weekend Bonnanza! It was a glorious weekend, but the sparkle dimmed a bit as Olivia left to return to Lexington and W&L where she's a 3L and where she and David met. It was like saying goodbye and letting go of one of my own - that's how much I adore this beautiful woman David has brought into our lives.
Saturday we scurried (edit: they) to spruce up the yard and assist with preparations for a little party I'd planned for people I'm thankful for in my life. I also wanted my friends to meet Olivia. Below are a few pics from the weekend. Joy! Joy! Olivia arrives! I immediately cut them loose with a hallpass for a date night dinner - my treat. The next morning, I put them to task with yanking a dead shrub from the front of my home. What a team! My *neighbor* is also an Olivia and she joined in the sprucing up because we decided to open the doors between our *homes* during the party. David with the two beautiful Olivias The Olivias with David with the table burdened with yummy cheeses and sweets and fruits and breads and crackers. Before this photo was taken of me with my guests, I gave a petite gratitude offering to include thanksgiving for family and friends and my brilliant newly minted attorney son and his beautiful Olivia. I also expressed gratitude that I'm still breathing! :) David and Olivia treated me to fine dining at Ivy Wild for my birthday This apron really deserves a solo post. Olivia made it for me - it was her birthday gift she quilted. The fabrics are so beautiful and the quilting is perfect in each tiny detail. I've decided to haul the mannequin from my outdoor sanctuary into my home to display Olivia's gift. I.Am.That.Thilled. And fancy new very much needed Nikes from my daughter and her family. (Rachel works at Nike Corporate offices. Yay!) Our beautiful Olivia about to leave for Lexington. Read/Post Comments (9) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
