2014-09-24 9:32 PM Day Three Day three was grueling despite the lack of needles. I had five amazing people beside me every step of the way. The love and support was remarkable! In addition to Mary, Willow, Alison, and David, Nancy Bradshaw arrived to complete the team. You may think I'm being too braggy, but I don't care... we were rock stars! Everyone we encountered loved us. We were a whirlwind of positivity and intelligence and love and substance and faith. We rocked!
So you all won't fret - my life still dances with positivity and extreme gratitude. I can boldly state that I more than held my own - especially because of the people with me who helped me listen and process. We met the lead surgeon and he was most encouraging. From stem to stern all the people we met commented on my organizational skills. This puzzled me a bit only because wouldn't everyone be organized if they were being evaluated for a lifesaving surgery? The lead surgeon smiled and winked when he called me a Type A personality like him - and that I would be just fine. Boy howdy, that was a very cool observation to hand me... I Think. :)) The reason for being at Vanderbilt is crummy and often daunting and sometimes a little scary... and as tired as we all were at the end of the day, I reflect back to our time together and I burst into a smile with gigantic gratitude for the people with me today. They rocked! I'm not ready to write about specifics. Still processing. More tests and consults. Thank you, too, for your kind words and streaming good thoughts. Tomorrow I have a heart catheterization. David will be with me. I'll report. Read/Post Comments (10) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
