2014-12-29 11:31 AM Christmas 2014 Christmas was quiet this year, but not to be confused with subdued. Gratitude and joy were probably more plentiful than ever... but quieter.
David and I have the art of *low key* tuned to perfection. We stayed close to home because that's best for me at this juncture. No snow storm this year, but the flu has taken the mountain by storm and that makes gadding about risky for me. Our days were quiet, yet never dull. I love David & Olivia so much for sacrificing their time together so David could be with me. An element of sacrifice was equally mine because I'm absolutely nutty in love with Olivia's family. *sigh* If fishes were wishes... Below is an assortment of pics of our Christmas fun: Christmas Eve morning, Linda brought breakfast - everything was yummy - especially being with her. She's off the mountain until March. I'll miss her so much. Never too old for a Christmas stocking. David's Grandmother Molly knitted it 29 years ago. Katie & Cindy sent us fixings for Cindy's *famous* Champagne cocktails - Yum! A delightful collection of gifts from my special angel, Alison A beautiful vintage green glass cup etched with my name - a gift from Olivia's Aunt Phyllis A custom designed necklace David gave me - an airplane with a banner that says, "One more step." Books Books Books! From Olivia & her Grandmother Ruth & Kim Higgins A beautiful creamer and sugar from The Owen family (my daughter, Rachel) in Lake Oswego. Fabulous! Love these! A new addition to my walls - love, love, love this gift from the Young Beans in KCMO. This tickles me to no end. A Happy Snowman from beautiful Louise! xo God is the Stillpoint at the Center A beautiful gift from Amy Wilson - the daughter of my very dear friend, Linda, who brought me Christmas Eve breakfast. ***** In addition to all of this, we were gifted with delicious meals and homemade fudge and candies and a tub of popcorn and cobblers and so much more. Oh, and cookies and delivery of fresh fruit in January! Yum! Our Christmas was abundant with goodness and generosity. Thank you , thank you!
