2015-01-13 1:02 PM A Swirl of Photo Activity A remarkable weekend with my remarkable children. This was actually our last night together - dining at High Point The first night... and the poses begin Chase going through files of memorabilia. Over the years I've filed every scrap of paper related to my children's activities. I gathered some for them to go through. Rachel going through memorabilia David Rachel - Guess who works for Nike While I rested, the kids hit a local pub Dinner at home - the poses! Lots of running - the poses! Lunch at Mountain Goat Market - the poses! Playing a new parlor game - Heads Up! I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard and so much. omigoodness. A sequence of fuzzy photos. I realized when I was posting all these photos that they included portions of my home rarely seen. The first floor apartment is awaiting someone to move in to be my *companion*. It's a really nifty space that I added for my mother. One of my favorite photos Leaving ***** This is a true story: The night after my children left I had a dream. They were once again infants - one baby but a composite of all three. A person can do that in dreams. I was cradling them and scanning their faces, looking deep into their eyes, cooing softly, tenderly. ***** I often prefer to be forward thinking these days, but after my children visited, my heart clutched with such yearning. I just wanted to do it all over again. Count the piggies of their toes, play airplane with a spoon of strained carrots, read Goodnight Moon a million times more, change dirty stinky diapers, play Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa, soothe a feverish forehead, kiss boo-boos, nag about homework, watch in awe their first wobbly steps, run beside a wobbly bicycle... and so much more. And with that, it's time for me to wobble to bed and dream some more. Thanks for stopping by. Read/Post Comments (8) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
