2015-01-22 9:34 AM A Cowgirl's Spirit I have a friend. I adore Kim... and her husband, Tommy.
Some people are the *Real Deal* but Kim & Tommy are the *Realest Deal*. Despite being the easiest people to be around, they're hard. They work hard and love hard and worship hard. Also, if there was ever such a thing as too much heart, it would be found with Kim & Tommy. It's our tiny community's good fortune they landed on the mountain several years ago. They've been lifelong ranchers - lived the dream we dreamers dream when we think of ranching. They continue to be involved in cattle breeding but on a smaller scale. Yet, the moment a person enters their orbit one can hear the swoosh of prairie grasses, feel zephyr breezes, hear the trilling meadowlarks and the crackle-pop of a campfire, and so much more. The prairie courses through their veins. It's just who they are. In addition to a few photos of them, I've included a photo of a gift Kim brought yesterday. It's a figurine of a dancing cowgirl. Her skirt is all swirly, her arms swinging toward the heavens, and her head flung back in the way people fling when filled with unstoppable joy. I'm flattered to think that this is how Kim envisions my spirit. *sigh* How lovely and special is that! Thanks, Kim, for stopping by and infusing my life with your loving essence.
