The Yin and Yang that is my life in the military industrial complex...
I walk into my building today to see the meeting posted "MCO-1 (**)Wargames", listening to the Dixie Chicks' version of a Presley song (written by Tom Jans) "Loving Arms" on my Ipod. (**-These are my asterisks added...when did it become ok to combine these 2 words - war & games?)
The one who said that she'd rather roam The one who said she'd rather be alone If you could only see me now If I could hold you now Just for a moment if I could Really make you mine Just for a while turn back the Hands of time If I could only hold you now I've been too long in the wind Too long in the rain Taking any comfort that I can Looking back and longing for the freedom from my chains Lying in your loving arms again If you could hear me now singing somewhere through The lonely nights Dreaming of the arms that held me tight If you could only hear me now I've been too long in the wind Too long in the rain Taking any comfort that I can Looking back and longing for the freedom from my chains Lying in your loving arms again I've been too long in the wind Too long in the rain Taking any comfort that I can Looking back and longing for the freedom from my chains Lying in your loving arms again I can almost feel your loving arms again I say we just put these military people in a room and let them listen to this song for a good 8 hours instead of participating in their wargames. Who knows...maybe a change would come. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
