2003-12-03 11:58 AM Peter Crowther on Short Fiction Mood: Characteristic Read/Post Comments (0) |
[Good taste disclaimer: I am mentioned very briefly in this article. Nonetheless, this is not a shameless plug. I conduct those on my Web site and at my RumorMill topic.]
http://www.thealienonline.net/interviews/petecrowther_oct03.asp?tid=3&scid=24&iid=1977 At the Alien Online: Are Shorts No Longer Fashionable? Sandy Auden talks to Pete Crowther of PS Publishing about his latest drive to keep the short fiction form alive. Not only has Pete Crowther been in the publishing business for more years than he'd care to discuss, but he's seen it from a number of different angles. He's a published author, an accomplished editor and, running the award-winning PS Publishing company, he's also seen the gritty end of the publishing game. His next publishing venture will be a short story magazine, tentatively entitled Postscripts, which is scheduled to start rolling off the presses in 2004. I caught up with him to quiz him about his motivations for the project and ask some hard questions about the short story market. (Interview follows at the Alien Online Web site...)
