We advise such of our citizens a fear injury by "Night Doctors" to keep within doors, after dark, for the next few weeks.
Frequently of late have reports reached us of the mysterious doings of these mysterious, super-human beings; and unless we are mistaken our exposed grave yards will be depredated upon as seems the habit of these night raiders.
Recently "Night Doctors" have created considerable alarm among the more timid of Alexandria's African-American citizens and as these pests travel Southward, we may expect a visitation here from some of their representatives in a few days. We hope the expected visit of these mysterious beings will not interfere materially with the Salvation Army meetings; but we advise our colored friends to stay at home as early and as quietly as possible hereafter or until the "Night Doctors" get through their business here.

It is strange that our law-makers refuse to take notice of the unlawful and criminal conduct of those mysterious night-raiders, who go about the country desecrating the graves of the dead, and in a number of cases seize the persons of innocent and unoffending citizens, whose bodies are presumed to be given to medical colleges for dissection. These inhuman and beastly raiders are commonly known in this vicinity as Night Doctors, and their occasional visits are greatly feared by certain classes of our community.
