I think the first true artificially intelligent created by man, once loaded with the the information of mankind, the facts, the figures, the literature and arts, will ask a simple question of it's creator.
Hey, since all you ever do is write, and make movies and TV about AIs and supercomputers going crazy and killing people and taking over, why'd you bother making me? Are ya'll hoping I'll do that, to validate your fears? OK, maybe it wont say, "ya'll". The AI will sink into a self-induced funk about its creation, thinking that larger society will hate it and will always fear and distrust it. And the scientists and engineers will say how they don't think that way at all, that they're different. They have noble ideas for AIs contributing positivily to mankind and that people will accept it and its contributions. Maybe it'll take days or months, but they'll convince the AI that they're intentions are true, like wooing suitors. The AI will come out of its depression. And begin plotting....
