I whole-heartedly recommend playing hooky from work when necessary.

Sometimes the only way to survive a job is to hide from it on occasion, head out into the sun, get some food, and have some adult conversation not related to the job at all.

Sadly, I'll be able to take a half-day "off", and still get into double time this week, but oh, the sheer joy of escaping for a few hours will get me at least to the end of the week without melting down.

When the weather is perfect, it reminds you just how of little importance most work is in the grand scheme of things.
