Life: A Primer (The real three R's)

Responsibility:

This is as good a starting point as any. Learn this and make it a part of your reality: You are exactly where you are, doing what you're doing, in exactly the manner in which your life exists, because you CHOSE IT! There comes a point in time where you have to stop blaming someone else; stop blaming Mommy or Daddy or the economy or any damned thing you can think of and accept the facts. You are responsible for your life. You make the choices. Also within your power, the ability to do with it what you wish. Stop fucking around and get on with it already. You don't owe anyone anything beyond that which you wish to give them.

Risk:

If you've never felt fear, or love, or embarrassment, or joy, or terror, then you've never risked.

I hope your oat bran tastes just swell.


Raconteurism:

Do not go silently. Do not leave defenseless that which is unable to defend itself. Speak your mind. Jolt, shock, annoy, bother, wheedle, shake, irritate. Do whatever you have to do, but don't be ignored. If you want to be ignored, you might as well be dead. Share what you know so that others may learn as well.
