Mood: Content Read/Post Comments (2) |
2003-11-10 1:07 PM Life in My World You know, after all that's happened in the past week, you'd think that I'd be in a foul mood.
Quite the opposite, actually. You know, it's easy to handle difficulties that arise when your house is in order and you know that resolution only entails pointing out errors to others. Jeez, that's a good feeling. The writing hasn't been going as well as it could be for the last couple of weeks, but once again, I'm not overly concerned. I've been spending time with my lovely wife and just enjoying her company in the evenings. I'll catch up on the novel this week so it's not really a problem. On the other hand, sitting around playing word games on the computer with my Sunshine or just watching movies or visiting with family or talking about nothing has been wonderful. And to make things better, my Sunshing quit smoking over two months ago now. (I still haven't kicked the habit, which says worlds about her dedication and my lack of motivation.) But to listen to her sing again is pure bliss. If I've failed to mention it here before, she has a broadway quality singing voice and to hear her power and range starting to sneak back to what it once was is awe inspiring. I feel bad for the rest of you who don't get to hear her voice drifting out of the back bedroom while you're cooking dinner. You know, with the right company, you can pretty much get through anything. And a side note: Started Atkins back up this morning. Can already tell a difference. (Jeez, forgot how much being a carb-addict can affect your overall mood for the day!) Until next time, Joseph Haines, signing off from the Edge of The Abyss.
