2004-03-12 1:25 PM NAKED BREASTS HERE! Well, Congress did it. They increased the fines for indecent content for both networks and the performers who violate the decency standards as set forth by the FCC.
In other words, no standards whatsoever. You know, the Supreme Court can't even define pornography beyond the Popeye-esque standard of "I knows it whenz I seez it . . ." How can you expect the FCC to enforce something that doesn't even have its own standard? How can you hold someone responsible for anything when you fail to tell them what is and isn't appropriate in clear language? Jeez, sort of reminds me of certain detainees in Cuba right now. "Excuse me, why am I being held?" How is it that we can get so wrapped up over a bare breast that it causes a national scandal while blowing the hell out of people is considered good-old American values? I mentioned in my last journal entry about Orwellian influence from a Machiavellian source. One of the best ways you can quell the masses is to implement a vague law and then enforce it with draconian measures. The result, of course, if a frightened, compliant population. Don't kid yourself friends, this is planned. You will watch what we want you to watch. To live well may be the best revenge, but to ensure that others live well? Welcome to your country.
