2004-04-26 1:42 PM More is More You know, it always amazes me what happens when you start forcing yourself to write on a regular basis.
I made my commitment about writing a new story every week and have kept up with the bargain to this point. And you know, the ideas that I worried about; the fear I had of "ohmygod what ever will I write!" has completely vanished. Because the more you do this thing, the more ideas start popping into your head. Ever time I write a new story, another one or two or five just jump in there screaming to be written. It's an enviable state, actually. I now have more stories to write than time to write them. I love it! But I'll tell you one thing, I'm going to try and get them all down on paper. I just sent out a sci-fi tale to Strange Horizons that I have high hopes for. Were I a sensible man, it would have went straight to F&SF or Asimov's first, but once again, I'm a sucker for certain markets. I really want to break into Strange Horizons so even though it's a little less prestigious a magazine, off it went. Hey, I'm human. So sue me. If it comes back, it goes to Gordon. But that's all the angst I'm going to spend worrying about it. There are too many new stories to write. Joseph Haines, signing off from The Edge of the Abyss.
