Okay, so much for my good mood.

Delegates at the Republican National convention have found a new, ingenious way to show their collective shit-for-brains to the world.

They've decided to mock John Kerry by sporting little band-aids with purple hearts on them, a reference to Bob Dole's ill-conceived comments on John Kerry's war record. Mr. Dole stated in an interview with Peter Jennings that, "John Kerry may have received three purple hearts, but he didn't bleed that I know of . . ."

Now, if you'll forgive me a moment of vulgarity, FUCK THOSE IDIOTS.

Number one: You don't wear a medal, or even the image of a medal you didn't win.
Number two: You don't mock the men and women who put their lives in harms way, so much in fact they they received wounds at the hands of the enemy. These young men and women paid the price of defending this country with their blood, and this stupid bullshit does nothing but belittle their sacrifices.

You know, I would have never expected this from the Republicans. I disagree with them on almost every front, but I thought they had the decency to respect the troops and those who fought for this county.

Instead, they've belittled every veteran in this county who fought and was wounded by the enemy in an attempt to attack John Kerry.

All I have to say is this: If I see anyone wearing one of these, they're going to need a lot more than a band-aid.
