2004-10-30 4:58 PM Voting Tips For those of you going to the polls on Tuesday (I voted absentee this year. My vote is cast.) here are a few things to remember:
1) Bring your I.D. 2) If you make a mistake, ask for a new ballot. It's your right. Use it. 3) If you're not on the list when you get to your polling place, ask for a provisional ballot and vote anyway. Don't let it discourage you. 4) If you are in line to vote when the polls close, you still have the right to vote. Don't let anyone run you off. 5) Democrats are good. Republicans are evil. 6) All the above are fact, except number five. 7) Number five is actually cosmic law. Calling it merely fact belittles the penultimate truth behind it. If you get the chance to repost this list (except numbers 5 through 7; the world might not be ready for such mind-expanding cosmic truth) please do so. The more people that know about their rights, the better. Enjoy speaking your mind on Tuesday. Joseph Haines, signing off from The Edge of the Abyss.
