2004-11-02 6:29 PM Calling the States The news media might now want to call certain states, but what the hell, I'll do it.
Here are the states I'm willing to call based upon pre-election day poll results favoring one candidate over the other by at least 10%, or exit poll votes from today which favor one candidate or the other by 10%. Bush: Alaska, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina for an electoral college count of 157 votes. Kerry: California, Illinois, New York, Washington D.C., Maryland, New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and New Hampshire for an electoral college count of 191. Looking good so far. Other states reporting in which Bush is leading by a slim margin include North Carolina, Nevada and Colorado for a total of 43 more electoral college votes. Other states reporting in which Kerry is leading by a slim margin include Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and New Mexico for 79 more electoral college votes. Looking real good. :-) Joseph Haines, signing off from The Edge of The Abyss. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
