2005-05-26 5:48 PM Aeon Magazine You know, it amazes me that some people still have a prejudice about reading anything written in e-format.
Okay, I'll admit it: Until recently that was me. I didn't have a PDA and reading text on my computer screen was a pain in the ass. It took me selling a story to Aeon Magazine to get me to try it. And you know what? It ain't all that bad. If you haven't tried Microsoft Reader, give it a try. You can find it online at Microsoft's web site for free, and it really does make reading text on your computer much easier. To begin with, it's formatted like a book. The text can be changed to different sized fonts for easier reading, and you even flip pages. So really, if it's the only thing holding you back from reading a magazine that has stories by writers like this, then it's time to give it a try. The editors are even kind enough to give you a preview of the stories before you head off and purchase the issue, and at Fictionwise, the current issue is 25% off right now. So give it a shot. You might be surprised. Joseph Haines, signing off from The Edge of The Abyss. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
