2005-08-10 6:45 PM When Sleep Betrays You Nothing quite so harsh as dreaming of smoking the night after you quit, and then waking up to remember that you don't smoke anymore.
You're going to get to read quite a bit about this process. It keeps my hands busy. And my mind occupied. It's a little harder this time around, and I'm glad. The one time I managed to quit for over a year was very difficult. When it's easy, there's still this little piece of your brain which believes that you're really not going to give it up forever. Sooner or later, you'll fall off your wagon and then you'll be smokin' again just like normal. It's when you're really ready to be through with it that it's tough. Your mind starts to fight back almost immediately. And this time it's tough. That's a good thing. Because I'm not smoking again. Day 2 without a cigarette. I think that deserves sushi tonight. :-) Joseph Haines, signing off from The Edge of The Abyss. Read/Post Comments (8) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
