2007-07-30 10:13 AM It Can Now Be Told I was hesistant to discuss specific numbers before about my weight loss as, quite frankly, I was embarassed by how much weight I had put on over the years.
Well, now I'm proud enough of myself to overcome the embarassement, so here it is: I started my weight loss program the second week of March. At that time, I weighed almost 307 lbs. As of yesterday morning, I'm at 238. Yeah, that's one short of seventy pounds. I'm packing the scale away today. The next time I'll get to see it is in two months time when I get to Seattle. And, I started a new book this morning. I can't stop thinking about it. This one has been rattling around in my head for a while but once I sat down and started putting the words to paper, scenes just started unfolding in my head. I'd like to have the first draft completed by October, and or once, I'm not terrified of the empty pages lying before me. It's a good day. Joseph Haines, signing off from The Edge of the Abyss.
