Good Reading I'm reading a book called IMMORAL by a new writer named Brian Freeman . I haven't finished it yet, but I didn't want to wait to post about it. IMMORAL is set in Duluth, Minnesota and introduces a new character to the world of thrillers, Jonathan Stride. The book is well-written, fast paced, and and a great read. It will likely end up being one of the best books I've read this year. IMMORAL carries praise from stalwarts such as Connelly, Lehane, Deaver, and Bruen. The praise is well deserved. The last book I finished was TO THE POWER OF THREE by Laura Lippman . After reading EVERY SECRET THING, I wondered if Ms. Lippman could top it, because it was so good. Well, she has. Prior to that, I read a book by a new author I met at Bouchercon in Chicago. His name is Chris Mooney, and the book is REMEMBERING SARAH. It was another book that kept me up too late on work nights.Other happenings... I can play the major chords (C A G E & D) on the guitar. Not too well, and not too consistently, but it's sounding a little better. I've also learned a song or two that I can almost play without looking at the frets. As my word count indicates, I have done some revising and replotting which is progress, but actually lowered my word count. No biggie. The words are coming faster and better.
