Where did the last twelve (or so) days go?

Reading

Over the weekend, and last night, I moved all my TBR (to be read) books to one shelf. And then I felt discouraged, just a bit. There are over fifty books on the shelf. Mary says I can't buy any more books, until I have read everything on the shelf.

Well ... considering I read on average 28-30 books per yeay, that's not likely to happen any time soon. But I did compromise, that I would only buy one new book after reading two (or maybe three) from the shelf.

I gotta stop watching TV.

Writing

I'm getting scenes written while and when I can. I'm increasing the wordage, but feeling ovrewhelmed. At some point, I am going to have to make index cards with scenes, so I can put the thing in order and figure out where new scenes need to be inserted.

Other Stuff

  • Last night, at Taekwondo, we did a lot of stance drills. Needless to say, I have very stiff thighs this morning.

  • I had a turkey sandwich for lunch.

  • The song on right now is Let It Be. There will be an answer.

  • I didn't watch MEDIUM last night, but I taped it. I still find Patricia Arquette sexy, even in the frumpy outfits her character wears.

  • I found out a very good friend and former boss of mine is moving back to the Philippines because she feels like she'll never get another job in IT. She is the most brilliant person I've ever worked with. And she can't get a decent IT job. I will miss her.

  • As part of my writing "practice" exercises, I am writing about my life during the years 1989 and 1990. Tumultuous and interesting years. I know, it's a waste writing these things, but it does help me get back into the flow when I haven't written anything in almost a week.

  • I'm tired...
