2009-07-29 7:53 PM Bill Tapply: Novelist ... Teacher ... Friend Mood: Sad Read/Post Comments (0) |
I first decided I wanted to write a mystery novel in 1995. I signed up for Writer's Digest School and met Mr. William G. Tapply. Over the years, I learned a great deal about the mystery genre and fiction writing from Bill's letters and advice, and from reading his novels. I finally met Bill, and his lovely wife, Vicki, face to face at Bouchercon in Chicago in 2005. He was as nice in person as he was in our correspondence.
I may not have known Bill well, but I feel as if I have lost a friend. I will truly miss him. William G. Tapply 1940-2009 Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
