Valentine's day. It is one of my favorite days of the year. Not because I get stuff. But because I can make my sweetie smile. Her smile is like a ray of sunshine on a cold winter day. It makes me feel good.
It is her favorite day of the year because what I do. This year I told her to get what ever she wanted at walmart for V Day last weekend. Then this morning I let on like I didn't have any money and acted like it was another day and went to work. From work I slipped out to the store and picked up a few things. And I don't know why more guys don't take the time to do something special for their sweetie. I picked up the traditional heart shaped box of candy. $1.99. And a lighthouse Calender. $.99. I found a small musical bear with fiber optic flowers. $3.99. Next was a Valentine wind chime. $.99. A bag of small chocolates with wrappers that had little phrases like the candy hearts have.$1.99.

I left the bear on the passenger floor of the car when I got home. I hung the wind chime on the front porch. With the small chocolates in my coat pocket I went in the house and gave her the box of candy and the calender. She was suprised that I got anything. Then I placed the small chocolates around the house while she was still watching her soaps.

She found a few of the chocolates and was suprised again. I suggested we go out to dinner. She agreed and discovered the wind chime on the front porch. She loved it. As we got in the car she found the bear. She loved that also.

She will be finding the small chocolates for the rest of the night.

For about $10 I was able to give her a happy day. Worth the price, I would say. To see that smile made my day.

So come on guys, spend a few dollars and minutes to make your sweetie's day her favorite. It will be your favorite too.
