I really need to start acting my age. Being just a few years shy of the 50 year mark, maybe I should slow down a bit. One of my neighbors got a radio controlled plane for christmas and in the process of learning to fly it he parked it in the top of a 50 ft tree. Several other neighbors gathered to try to figure out how to get it down and after about 30 minutes they were no closer to rescuing the plane. Now this tree has no branches for the first 25 feet so climbing was beyond their abilities so I offered my services. Hugging the tree with my arms and knees I proceded to shimmy up the trunk. They were amazed. One would have thought I was half Samoan climbing for coconuts.
The rescue was a success and the owner was extremely happy. He thought his plane was history. Not too shabby for an old man, eh? Read/Post Comments (6) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
