I have a friend that was offered a deal from a publisher and was wondering if it is an acceptable venture. Can any of the published writers out there lend their thoughts on the deal? it goes like this... Publish the story for $12.95 per copy and are only agreeing to pay the author $5.18 on copies of said work that may be sold, and for which the publisher shall receive payment. Any help is appreciated.
